Here are just some of the activities that children regularly enjoy at The Secret Garden:
Visiting our learning allotment and growing our own food, to eat, bake and cook with!
Observing the changes in the seasons, and using the natural environment to inspire our play and creativity.
Creating delicious dishes in our Mud Kitchen cafe, and practising our early writing and maths skills by taking orders, writing menus and taking payment.
Naming and telling stories about the newest residents of our bug hotels.
Making bird feeders for our feathered Secret Garden friends.
Using natural materials to paint, sculpt and craft with (we are budding Andy Goldsworthys!)
Lazing in our cosy Book Nook to listen to and talk about our favourite stories.
Exploring song, music and dance during our fun Together Times.
Using logs, crates, chairs, sheets – whatever we can lay our hands on! – to build exciting obstacle courses that help us develop our teamwork skills and physical abilities.
Making woodland crowns from natural materials collected on a nature walk.
Looking after and playing with our guinea pigs, Holly and Bramble.
Enjoying Beach School activities on the beautiful beaches of Morecambe!
The Secret Garden Learning works with people across Morecambe Bay on a variety of projects that promote nature connection and the wellbeing of people and planet.
